Katie Staton is a Northeast Indiana EdgeUp Advisor. She helps farmers gain an edge up by providing a diverse product portfolio, customized farm plans and superior customer service. Originally from Elwood, Indiana, Katie lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with her husband Evan and dog Lexi.
Katie was immersed in agriculture at a young age. She grew up on a small family farm and was a 10-year 4-H member. She accompanied her family on business travel in the United States and other countries as part of the international trade and consulting organization McDermit International Group.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management from Purdue University and her Master of Agribusiness from Texas A&M University. While pursuing her education, Katie held internships with Dow AgroSciences in Mankato, Minnesota, and Farm Credit Administration in Dallas, Texas. She was a Purdue University coed cheerleader and Texas A&M University all-girls cheerleader. Following her graduation, she returned to Indiana and began her career as a Dekalb Sales Trainee for Monsanto.
Katie and her husband were married November 2017. She is a member of the professional Madame Ants Dance Team representing the Fort Wayne Mad Ants basketball team. Katie enjoys hiking in various Indiana state parks, traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones.
