Gregg and I are happy to announce that Madison Boston has joined the B & A Genetics team. She’ll be working as an intern, primarily helping us with sales and marketing.
A native of Sullivan, Indiana, Madison grew up on her family’s farm and currently attends Purdue University where she’s studying agronomy.
“The three F’s I live by are Faith, Family and Farming,” she said. “I started at a very young age inspecting the fields and learning about the joys and hardships of agriculture. I have also been blessed to grow up around my family’s auction business. My dad, Jeff Boston, has been an auctioneer form more than 40 years, and my responsibilities have grown along with the business. Growing up on the farm and around farm auctions has shaped my life in a very positive way.”
Madison is a member of Sigma Alpha, Purdue’s agriculture sorority. She’s also a member of Agronomy Ambassadors and a teaching assistant for an agricultural marketing class on campus. In addition to working with B & A Genetics, Madison hopes to continue working in the family businesses after graduation.
“I am still involved in our family farm, and I am very blessed to be able to continue the tradition. I also want to auctioneer with my family continue to show, breed and sell show cattle with my brother,” she said. “I’m a people person, so I love connecting with others who have a passion for agriculture. I would like to take my passion that sprouted with my family and give back to farmers.”
