Katie Staton is an EdgeUp Advisor in the Northeast region of Indiana. Katie helps farmers gain an edge up on their farms by providing a diversified product portfolio and customized farm plans through integrated solutions. Originally from Elwood, Indiana, Katie currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband.
Katie has been immersed into Agriculture from a young age. She grew up on a family farm and was a 10 year 4-H member. She has also traveled the US and other countries with her parents for their international ag commodities trade consulting business, McDermit International Group. Staton received a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management from Purdue University. As part of her undergraduate studies, Katie interned at Dow AgroSciences as a Mycogen Seed Sales Representative.
After completing 3 years of education at Purdue University, Katie headed down south and did another year and a half at Texas A&M University, where she received a Master of Agribusiness. While pursuing her master’s degree, Katie interned at Farm Credit Administration. Following graduation, Katie returned to Indiana and began her career at Monsanto.
Katie married Evan Staton in November 2017. She is an outdoors enthusiast and loves hiking with Evan and their pup in various parks around Indiana. When Katie is not outdoors, she enjoys spending time with relatives and friends.
